It's been a fun two weeks here in Mallorca, sailing, wakeboarding, a lot of free diving and a lot of time spent in the water. I'm back on the road again tomorrow heading to Berlin to meet a couple of friends that studied with me in Hong Kong.
A lot of people have been asking me the same questions over and over again so I thought I would do a FAQ which will hopefully answer some of your questions:
How much money did you spend?
With these kind of trips you can make them very cheap or ridiculously expensive, we went the cheap way.
The bikes cost us around 16€ per day, food was around 5€ a day and accommodation around 5€ per day. We rode for 20 days, you do the maths. There were obviously some other expenses but the overall cost of the trip was around 850€ excluding flights. We were under a very tight budget, we were going for an adventure not a holiday.
What camera did you use to film?
We used 2 GoPro HERO3 for most of the footage. As a secondary camera I used my DSLR Nikon D5300 which I used primarily to take photos
How much should I plan if I want to make a similar trip/ How much did I plan?
I barely plan my trips, not because of laziness but because I enjoy traveling under uncertainties and "going with the flow". We planned our whole trip in 3 days when we landed in New Delhi.
But FYI if you plan on doing the same trip, the roads are only open from June to mid September.
What route did you do?
If you have any further questions try and read through the blog we wrote while on the road
I've had a few blogs in the past but from now on this will be where I will post all my blog posts.
